Original Mattress Factory, a 20+ legacy Bridging partner is back as the Title Sponsor of the 2026 Original Mattress Factory Bedrace for Bridging, for the fourth consecutive year! Their team is thrilled to sponsor the event and partner with Bridging throughout the year because they align with the organization’s important work in the community.
Tyler Johnson, a Bridging champion and Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Original Mattress Factory, is passionate about Bridging’s mission and leads many engagement activities with Bridging.
“One of Original Mattress Factory’s goals is striving to do the right thing for our customers, our community, and each other,” he says. “Bridging’s mission lines right up with that, so it’s been a natural fit for years. For someone to have a home furnished by Bridging is so incredibly powerful. It helps them have a home and sets them up for success in whatever they choose to do. To support Bridging is to support our community and our neighbors.”
Tyler and the OMF team can’t wait to get out to Buck Hill every year. Tyler can be found serving hot chocolate and greeting Bedracers and spectators on the slopes of Buck Hill. He loves the fundraising event and encourages the community to join in the fun!

The Original Mattress Factory always goes above and beyond in their support of Bridging. Each year at the Bedrace, they supply 20 new mattresses and covers, so Bedracers are equipped for their wild rides down the slopes! And when the races conclude, our generous partner donates the new mattresses to Bridging. The mattresses are loaded into a Bridging truck and transported to the Bridging’s warehouses, where they are immediately available for client shopping!
Original Mattress Factory also donates new and gently-used mattresses to Bridging throughout the year, ensuring that community members who are transitioning to housing stability get a good night’s sleep.
“It’s great when we are talking with customers about what’s going to happen to their old mattressor box spring when they purchase a new one at Original Mattress Factory. We take their good quality, gently-used mattresses and boxsprings to Bridging. When they get so excited to hear that their mattress could go to Bridging and help someone in the community, it’s truly fulfilling.”
The Original Mattress Factory also sponsors Bridging’s annual Bring a Blanket Drive at four of OMF’s retail locations. Community members wait in line to donate thousands of new and gently used blankets that help fulfill Bridging’s blanket needs throughout the year.
Tyler enjoys all of the ways that Original Mattress Factory engages with Bridging, but his favorite is the festive and much-anticipated annual Bedrace! He invites everyone to make 2026 the year they come out to try it out as a Bedracer or spectator:
