Serving Over 130 Minnesota Families Each Week

Founded in 1987, Bridging is a non-profit 501(c)(3), operating 100,000 square feet of warehouse space in Bloomington and Roseville.  Bridging was founded on the simple concept that community resources should be shared with those in need.  Our purpose is to "bridge the gap" between the "haves" and the "have nots".

Our mission is to provide the economically disadvantaged with a one-time gift of quality furniture and household items which helps to stabilize and improve their lives while effectively using community resources. Through a network of over 200 social service agencies, eligible clients are referred to our warehouse for a once-in-a-lifetime shopping experience.

Program services and the community need continue to climb across the state.  In 2007, Bridging served over 16,000 individuals.  This is nearly double the number of individuals served five years ago.  View our increase in program services from 2003 to 2007.  Bridging's 2007 Annual Report is now available. • The Eleventh Annual SUBWAY® BEDRACE FOR BRIDGING, presented by Cities 97 will take off at Buck Hill Saturday, March 7, 2008. Teams of four are invited to race down the tubing hill atop queen-sized mattresses.  One hundred percent of registration fees and fundraising efforts will benefit Bridging.
  • During cold winters, all Minnesotans need the warmth of an extra blanket.  On Sunday, December 7, 2008, local SUBWAY® restaurants in central Minnesota and western Wisconsin partnered with Bridging, Inc. to collect and distribute blankets to individuals and families in need. Now in its seventh year, the SUBWAY® Bring a Blanket program is the primary way Bridging secures blankets for distribution.  One of Bridging’s goals is to provide a blanket with every bed given to the families we serve.  Blankets collected on December 7 will be distributed to over 5,700 local families during the coming year. Read the complete story and learn more about how Thrivent Financial will match your donation.
