What do you enjoy most about working at Bridging?

What I enjoy most about working at Bridging is the strong sense of community and purpose. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of a talented team that is so passionate about making a meaningful impact in people’s lives. I also really appreciate the culture here—it’s collaborative and supportive. I can bring my authentic self to work every day, while I learn and grow alongside a talented and driven group of colleagues.

Why does Bridging’s mission matter?

Bridging’s mission matters to me because it directly reflects my belief in the power of helping others and creating tangible change in people’s lives. The work we do isn’t just about providing resources. It’s about restoring dignity, fostering hope, and helping individuals and families move forward. I believe that everyone deserves the chance to thrive. Knowing that our efforts contribute to real and lasting impact keeps me motivated and committed to Bridging’s mission every day.

In short, the mission aligns with my core values of empathy, service, and community-building, which makes my work here especially meaningful to me.

What is special about Bridging?

What makes Bridging special is the unique combination of heart and action. It’s not just about the services we provide, but about the care, respect, dignity, and humanity with which we approach every interaction. The organization strives to create a culture where every individual—whether a staff member, volunteer, or person we’re helping—feels valued. That sense of community and purpose sets Bridging apart. It’s more than just a job—it’s being part of something bigger that positively touches the lives of so many.

What do you like to do outside of Bridging?

I enjoy spending time with my adult children and their significant other(s), as well as my parents.  I love camping, playing Euchre and cribbage, and creating a landscaped backyard full of perennials/landscaping.

What’s a “fun fact” about you?

After years and years of being a diet Coke drinker (6-12 cans a day), I traveled to Colorado for the first time last year and experienced altitude sickness. Since that trip, I have not had a diet Coke.
