About Us

Thank you for your support during this challenging time and for playing your part in ensuring the well-being of our entire community. The safety and well-being of our clients, volunteers, donors, and employees continues to be our top priority as we monitor and respond to the evolving impact of COVID-19 on our community.

We will continue to evolve our protocols and procedures as the virus continues to impact our community and ability to serve the mission. Help us stay open as an Essential Service – as we promote health, safety, and reduce the risk of transmission. Find information about COVID-19 on the CDC website and Stay Safe MN.

Our mission to empower people to thrive in their homes by providing quality furniture and household goods for those pursuing housing stability is now more important than ever.

Bridging's COVID-19 Preparedness Plan

Under Gov. Tim Walz’s Executive Orders, businesses that are in operation during the peacetime emergency are required to establish a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan. This includes both critical and non-critical businesses.

A business’s COVID-19 Preparedness Plan shall establish and explain the policies, practices and conditions the business will implement to meet the industry guidance for the business that are based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) guidelines, federal Occupational Safety, and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and applicable executive orders related to safety and health in their workplaces. Plans must be communicated to workers and posted at the workplace in a manner that is accessible for workers to review.

Thank you Bridging Community for your continued compliance with the safety protocols that have been put into place.

In April 2020, Bridging was deemed an essential service by the state of Minnesota which allowed us to bring staff and volunteers back in the building so we could set up proper protocols to operate safely. On May 4, we resumed operations.

The safety and well-being of our clients, volunteers, visitors and employees continues to be our top priority as we continue to monitor and respond to the evolving impact of COVID-19 on our community.

Face Masks

We require wearing masks in our warehouses and common spaces.

  • NOTE: wearing a mask requires that the mask covers both the mouth and nose.
