Mark’s Wish List for the 2022 Gala Auction

We are excited to announce the Gala for Bridging on Friday, September 30th at Hilton Minneapolis! This inspiring annual event brings together nearly 500 generous supporters and community leaders to help thousands of people get a fresh start.
At the 2021 Gala, we raised more than $400,000 to help FURNISH HOMES WITH HOPE, and our exciting live and silent auctions were a huge factor in that success. This means you have the opportunity to help make this event into a truly impactful experience filled with items that Gala guests look forward to bidding on every year.
We are currently seeking live and silent auction donations for the 2022 Gala!
By donating you will highlight your business, showcase your commitment to our community, and most importantly, advance Bridging’s mission.
The selection of items we look to include in the auctions might surprise you! We’re not just looking for gift cards —though we do love receiving them! Our goal is to offer a fun and enticing variety of auction items AND experiences. Some items we haven’t even thought of might be wonderful additions!

Restaurant gift certificates: What restaurants do you frequent? Have you received one for a gift that you aren’t likely to use? Would the chef host a dinner at the restaurant? Would the chef come to cook dinner in someone’s home?
Wine, wine collections, or bottles of fine liquor: Do you have any vintage or special wines you’d be willing to donate? Do you frequently buy from a vintner who might donate a case? Wine and spirits are consistently some of our best-selling auction items. Additionally, after being hugely popular last year, the Wine Pull is back for 2022. That means we’ll need donated bottles of wine of any value for this fun game!
Vacation getaways and hotel stays: Do you have a lake home, cabin, ski chalet, or timeshare that someone would enjoy? Do you have a connection at a local or chain hotel? Whether it is a trip to Red Wing or the French Riviera, staycations and fun getaways are always a hit at the Gala for Bridging!
Sporting event tickets: Do you have season tickets that you could offer up in one or more pairs? Bidders love these tickets, especially VIP boxes that they would not otherwise be able to access.
Entertainment tickets: Could you offer tickets to a fine arts or cultural event like a concert or a performance at the theater, symphony, opera, or ballet? These tickets are popular items, especially when these events tend to sell out.
Unique experiences: Are you connected to a local entertainment venue as a subscriber or board member? Could you get tickets for unique experiences such as a behind-the-scenes tour, lunch with the director or respected person, a ride on a traffic helicopter, or a special experience at a brewery, vineyard, or distillery?
Is there an item or experience not on this list you think we should include? Please share your idea with us, or better yet, send us a donation and your item could take “center stage” for a thrilling evening!
